many years ago, had a physical relationship with a woman whom you can charitably call "exceptionally large", so upon reflection, you can say that we don't have a History as much as a Geography. ;) :D

It has oft been said that I am a man of simple tastes and simple pleasure and this to an extent is true.

I often can't be bothered with the complexities of things, the rigmarole or the needless effort but I do often think that something hard work or hard struggle can bring the sweetest reward.

And, as it has been said, "Such in Life, as such in the Kitchen".

I have eaten all kinds of foods in my life in al sorts of places and oft I still find it is the simple food, those of familiar, of poverty and of comfort to be the best.
My constant favourite dish in this World is a bowel of Noodle Soup. Be it a Chinese Roast Duck with Egg Noodle Soup or the Vietnamese Phở -a rice noodle dish with thin slices of raw beef cooked in the bowl as the noodles are served (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pho), it is amongst my favourite of dishes.
Same with anything rice -be it plain, fried or something special like Hong Kong Beef Fried Rice or even more fancy dishes

The other constant in my diet is pasta and nothing can be simpler than pasta with bacon and melted cheese but more recently I have found an even better variation of this which is very simple.
A Roman style Carbonara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbonara), which doesn't have cream but is simple bacon, beaten eggs and cheese mixed together.
This is ultimately one of the greatest comfort foods created!
Simply, rich and elegant but deceptively cunning to make, because of getting the mix right and not overcooking the eggs.

Tonight I added onions fried in a good amount of butter to make them soft and sweet, as well as a touch of garlic for taste. The cheese was your basic Home Brand Tasty, the bacon & eggs also being of the Home Brand mark, but that doesn't take away from the quality.
Find it better with a pasta like shell or Penne, a shape where the egg and cheese mixture can coat and get into.

At any rate, this was my best one so far and such a simple meal.

Next I'm making a a Jamaican style Curried Goat (http://www.jamaicatravelandculture.com/food_and_drink/curried_goat.htm), which I will probably start tomorrow to be ready Tuesday.
Best the best food takes time to cook. ^_^

that is all
